A Thing Of Beauty
This is something I wrote a few months back. Hope you like it!
A million colors of the night
Danced around and all was bright
The lights resplendent with every hue
The truest violet and a truer blue
The Princess of the rainbow, rested among the stars
Basking in the glories of her powers
She had been crowned the queen of color
But as time clocked by, her life grew duller
That she could paint with dreams, ‘tis was true
But she wanted to be inspired before she drew
She longed for a teacher, something to admire,
She yearned for that, which made her aspire
A thing of beauty, she sought for herself
Into deeper mysteries, she wished to delve
A world unknown, she longed to unravel
Often her mind wandered and traveled
Lonely and lost, her mind whirled and fluttered
The winds came to her and cried and muttered
She saw her dreams surround her
Beauty had finally found her
She felt like the object of a painting,
The canvas behind her constantly changing
At That moment of time she reckoned
Her creator had finally beckoned
She felt beauty like never before
Out of the canvas then she tore
When she finally returned to the stars
She felt again her many powers
Love, beauty, truth are all the same
called by many a different name
we must learn that we are the world
we are the universe’s own life blood
Beauty calls out to those, who are welcoming
A thing of beauty, they find in every being
They are all creators in their own right
And echoes with them forever the Light!

The Art of Procrastination
Its finals time, I should be studying and so should you, but, what am I doing?
Watching youtube, facebooking, writing our first blog post. Excellent way to study right?
I’ve found that the longer I’ve been in school, the greater my skills at procrastination have become. I use to exhaust my lists of things to do to procrastinate fairly rapidly, but now, I’m fairly certain I can find enough things to do until my final exam is actually over and done with. In the past couple hours I’ve tended to my crops (virtually), cooked food, donated rice and at the same time practiced my vocabulary on www.freerice.com, read www.phdcomics.com, looked through t-shirt designs at http://shirt.woot.com/reckoning and online shopped. Not that I recommend you to click on any of those links or doing anything of these things. You should be studying! But then again, you’re reading this right now, which means you have a couple of moments to spare, so why not?
So it’s your turn now, what are your favorite forms of procrastination?
